You are invited to participate in this event. The Community action in favour of TEN-Telecom aims at stimulating the deployment of telecommunication networks-based applications and generic services in areas of public interest. On the basis of the updated TEN-Telecom Work programme, the European Commission intends to launch a call for proposals at beginning March 2000. The call for applications and generic services covers the projects of common interest in the sectors of: generic services, education and training, access to Europe's cultural heritage, small and medium sized enterprises, transport and mobility, environment and emergency management, health, city and regional information networks. The indicative budget envelope is set at 43 MEUR. In addition, the rolling call for support and co-ordination measures remains open for project proposals (indicative budget envelope 900 KEUR). The call text and the guide for proposers will be available on the TEN-telecom website from the date of publication in the Official Journal. A draft agenda for the information day is attached. The morning session covers the general aspects of the calls. In the afternoon, Programme officials will be available to respond to individual inquiries. You can reserve a 15 minute meeting according to your sector of interest. Notice boards and display space for any information you wish to bring will be available. Please note that space is limited; seats and time-slots for the afternoon meetings will be available on a first-come basis. Therefore register as soon as possible through our website at http://www.ispo.cec.be/tentelecom. You need the printout of your on-line confirmation to gain access to the Charlemagne Building.
