Subject: Atelier E-Marketplaces / 23-24 avril 2001 / Bruxelles


The open workshop "E-marketplaces: new challenges for enterprise policy,
competition and standardization" will take place the 23 and 24 April 2001
in Brussels.

This workshop aims to identify future priorities for enterprise policy and
standardization, in order to facilitate the creation of open,
non-discriminatory e-marketplaces in Europe. Expected participants include
about 150 delegates representing the demand and supply sides of diverse
business sectors, formal standardization organisations, industry
standardization groups, academia (business schools, e-commerce research
centres) and consultants.

The Workshop language is English. Participation in the event is free, but
subject to prior registration and confirmation by the Commission. No travel
and accommodation costs can be reimbursed to the participants (except for
speakers).

Early registration and hotel reservations are strongly recommended.
